Why not just read First Year of Teaching or a similar book?
Our goal is to provide specific ideas for teachers to use or adapt to their classrooms. The problem with First Year and similar books is they often say something like “develop a system of managing incoming homework early in and stick to it”. And that will be about all they have to say on the subject. Of course this is a good starting point but we’re here to provide something for you to try today.
I can’t tell you how many “New Teacher” books I have on the shelves. If I had the time to read them maybe I could figure this all out…
